The Cable Glider’s mini-vacation is over as of 9AM Eastern Standard Time tomorrow morning.  At 8:30 AM, the Bureau of Labor Statistics releases the monthly Employment Situation Summary.  If you turn on CBNC, all morning long they’ll be asking anyone with a pulse what their prediction is of the number of jobs created last month and it’s possible implication for the equity market.  What a fun and pointless exercise.  One thing is for sure though, no matter what the number, it makes the currency market dance!  This is typically a day where my automated Cable Glider system experiences some wild volatility, and in truth, I’ve recently had some good luck on these days by overriding the system’s signals.  My main purpose in starting this blog was to track the system’s performance, so now, and going forward, I will only take the automated signals. (I used a manual override once in January, and it reduced my monthly profit from 10.1% to 8.5%, and that’s too bad, because double digit monthly gains feel so much better!)    Tune in tomorrow night to see how the Cable Glider handles the “Situation”.   The only prediction that I’ll make is that I won’t be break-even for the month of February after tomorrow.
